Digital projections in the caves of Creswell Crags

Creswell Crags, Crags Rd, Creswell, Worksop S80 3LH

To celebrate the launch of our Flaneur: Portrait 2017 photography season, we are hosting a FREE family-friendly event at Creswell Crags to launch two very special exhibitions.

See the caves at Creswell come to colourful life with digital projections by Rebecca Smith of Urban Projections.

In the meadow take a ride with Pif-Paf Theatre on their unique fly and submercycles and listen to music by Creswell Colliery Brass and The Crag Rats, or take a selfie in our vintage photography booth.

In the outdoor classroom listen to music by Whitwell Community Choir.

Inside (in the temporary exhibition space) view work by three internationally renown photographers - Tom Hunter, Liz Hingley and Discipula - specially commissioned by First Art and Format International Photography Festival for two exhibitions in Derby and Mansfield this spring - plus the public debut of the People's Portrait, the product of an open call to all residents of the First Art area.

Read more about the Flaneur: Portrait 2017 season of events, here, and find out more about the co-commissioned work.
